‘Blind Spot’ doing well at box office

Iranian film ‘Blind Spot’ has performed well at Iran box office, grossing 1,30,000,000 rials (about USD 39,678) since the opening of the flick in the country's cinemas.

‘Blind Spot’ saw a satisfactory box office run in Iran as of the opening day last week, the distributor of the film was quoted by the media on Wednesday as saying, adding that “Twenty-one cinemas in the capital as well as 12 theaters in other Iran provinces are screening the film.”

Mehdi Golestane’s film will enjoy the second public screening on Thursday at Azadi Cineplex in Iranian capital city of Tehran, the film distributor said.

The star-studded film features Iranian artists, including Hanieh Tavassoli, Mohammad Reza Foroutan, Shaghayegh Farahani, Mohsen Kiaee, Niki Mozaffari, and Khatereh Assadi, as male and female leads as well as supporting roles.

The man “has spent 23 days away from his family at sea. Struggling in a world of uncertainty, he gets back to his house in Tehran only to find out all thoughts racing through his mind are realized. He cannot deal with this situation until …,” a plot summary for the film read.

The film attended the competitive section of the 2017 Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
